CarbonBuilt is hiring a CDL A Truck Driver to deliver materials and support plant operations with no overnight travel.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Day shift
• Home every day
• Overtime available during peak construction periods

Equipment Operated

• Boom truck with telescopic or articulating crane
• Flatbed or material delivery truck
• Forklift and yard equipment as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL boom truck to transport materials to and from job sites
• Operate boom equipment to load and unload materials
• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Secure loads and ensure proper rigging before transport and lifting
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols
• Coordinate with yard and production teams for loading and delivery schedules
• Maintain delivery documentation and driver logs

Required Qualifications

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Connecticut Hoisting Equipment Operator License
• NCCCO certification (or equivalent accredited certification) for cranes over 5 tons
• Registration with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating boom trucks or crane-equipped trucks
• Knowledge of rigging, signaling, and safe load handling practices
• Experience delivering materials to construction or industrial sites

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb, balance, and work around heavy equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in dust, noise, heat, and changing weather conditions

Hiring Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check (CarbonBuilt is a second-chance employer)
• Must comply with U.S. DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
